These display cups/gem jars are used for everything from gold nuggets to gemstones to coins and antique buttons. Inside each cup is a black foam insert with a black velvet-like surface on the top/display side. The velvet helps hold display items in place and makes a nice surface for presentation. The cups measure 1 1/8" or 1 1/2" across the inside diameter.
